A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 102

"No, not at all!" Sam quickly waved his hands and shook his head. "Matt chose Demi because she was perfect for the role! There was never any 'stealing' involved!"

The audience talked among themselves.

"To be honest, Demi is more suited for a villager role than Ana! Ana is pampered and could never convincingly play a village girl."

"There must be scenes involving farm work. Ana is spoiled and wouldn't be able to make it look real! But Demi? She probably doesn't need much coaching and could pick it up right away."

"Exactly! Plus, Demi has neither money nor connections. How could she possibly steal Ana's role?"

"That's why online rumors should be taken with a grain of salt! You can't believe everything you hear."

"As someone who's been in the fanbase for years, I have a strong feeling that someone is trying to ruin Demi's reputation! Most of the accusations against her are so far-fetched! And based on the show, she's nothing like what people say!"

"Who knows? The entertainment industry is full of lies and hidden agendas! Demi probably doesn't even have a team backing her up, so she's at a disadvantage."

"Why does this make me feel a little sad? Is it just because she comes from a poor family? She gets attacked and doesn't have the resources to fight back, while others can bully her however they want."

"You're making me tear up. Suddenly, I empathize with Demi. We're all just struggling."

Michelle stared at these live comments in silence. Demi had never mentioned her online harassment to them. Was it because she didn't care about it? Or did she not trust them enough to see them as family?

"Matt auditioned many actresses at the time, but none fit the role. But he knew Demi was perfect for the movie when he saw her," Sam added.

"I think Demi is incredibly versatile. She can play a humble village girl just as easily as a royal princess. If I ever come across a great role, I'll recommend her. Too bad I'm in the music industry. Otherwise, I'd be promoting her left and right. Casting Demi is never a mistake," Maria said enthusiastically.

"Absolutely." Sam nodded in agreement.
