A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 101

"Yes, that's right. Maybe Demi just doesn't know how to teach." Thomas quickly stepped in to smooth things over.

"Alright, let's not dwell on this. Eat up, and then we'll head north. We should try to meet up with Demi and the others as soon as possible so we can look out for each other," Wendy piped up.

"They have coconut juice and wild fruits. We should pick some too," Sally said optimistically.

"We're full as well," Ana added.

With that, everyone packed up, wrapping the seafood in leaves and storing it in their bags before setting off north. They had a compass app on their phones, so they weren't worried about getting lost.

Along the way, they spotted some small wild fruits, but no one was sure if they were safe to eat.

Even though they had done some research before coming, identifying fruit from pictures on the phone and seeing it in person were two very different things.

Since it was a matter of life and death, they had to be cautious. They compared the fruits to the pictures Sam and Tyler had sent, but they still weren't confident. Similar-looking fruits with the same colors and shapes could grow on different trees or bushes, making it hard to tell them apart.

"Forget it. Let's just take a picture and send it to Demi," Wendy suggested.

"I'll do it." Nigel pulled out his phone to take photos.

As a director, Nigel was skilled at capturing details. He carefully took wide shots, close-ups, and detailed images of the fruits and leaves, making sure Demi could identify them.

Meanwhile, Demi and her group had finished eating and were enjoying some wild fruit and coconut meat.

Maria was assigned a task by the director and turned to Sam and Tyler. "Mr. Hurst, Tyler, I heard you and Demi recently filmed a movie."

"Yes." Sam and Tyler nodded.
