Year Five The Perfect Goodbye Plan novel Chapter 265

“Kent, whatever Shipley’s done, I don’t want you hiding it from me.”

Seeing the hesitation in Kent’s eyes, Silvia quickly spoke up.

She refused to be left in the dark. If Shipley was scheming behind their backs, she deserved to know. Besides, she didn’t want Kent taking the fall for Shipley’s mess.

Silvia’s gaze was unwavering; she wasn’t about to let Kent face Shipley alone.

By now, in her mind, Shipley had turned into someone downright malicious.

Kent met Silvia’s eyes, and in her expression, he saw a resilience that made his tense features finally soften.

He looked at the woman he cherished so deeply and, suddenly, he let out a quiet laugh.

Reaching out, Kent rested his large hand gently on Silvia’s shoulder and guided her to sit beside him. His voice was warm. “Silvia, I underestimated you. Maybe it’s better you know the truth.”

She could feel the comforting heat of his embrace, but her eyes flickered with anxiety. Silvia leaned into him, tense with worry; she had no idea what Shipley might be capable of.

“Shipley used your photo to create a fake scandal—he’s trying to frame you.”

A fake scandal?

Silvia’s brows drew together as she processed Kent’s words.

She didn’t need him to spell it out; she understood immediately what he meant by “faked photos.”

Once those pictures were out, true or not, her reputation would be in ruins.
