"It's better not to get involved with him."
Lennon wasn't one to meddle, but Patricia was Naomi's only friend. If she really started dating that guy, Naomi would inevitably have to interact with him too.
Naomi was innocent and cared deeply for Patricia. If that guy tried anything in the future, the two girls wouldn't be able to stop him.
"You think he's a bad guy?"
Naomi's way of referring to Luther had changed.
Lennon hummed softly in agreement.
"He's definitely not good."
Naomi thought for a moment, then quietly told him about how Luther and his friends had apparently spent over ten thousand of Patricia's money.
Lennon's expression didn't change much, as if he had expected something like this to happen.
"Stay away from him."
Lennon glanced at Naomi. "If you can't convince her, then just keep your distance as much as possible."
"Nothing is more important than your own safety."
Naomi nodded.
She knew Lennon was looking out for her, so she didn't argue.
After they finished breakfast, Naomi, who had no classes that morning, could have stayed with him longer. But she couldn't think of a good reason to do so.
Any excuse she could come up with felt strange.
"Aren't you going to the studio today?"
Lennon asked, breaking the awkward silence.
"I... if you need someone to look after you, I can stay."
Lennon gave Naomi a deep look. "No, I don't need anyone to look after me."
For some reason, Naomi felt a pang of disappointment.
But in the end, she just nodded. "Alright then, I'll head to the studio."
