“Alright.”
Charlotte had started so many ventures across different industries that there was no way she could keep track of them all. When she heard the other side was a philanthropist, she paused, thought it over, and decided to say yes.
“Oh, Ms. Tracing, the design department just finished the samples for the new Dazzling collection,” her department head said respectfully. “Would you like to take a look?”
This time, Charlotte—Ms. Tracing—had been involved in everything. She picked out every fabric, signed off on every sketch, and weighed in on every little design detail. Most people only knew about that million-dollar crushed diamond gown, but honestly, this unreleased collection was the one that really showed off Jeva’s style.
If anyone ever saw it… it’d cause a stir for sure. The fashion world wouldn’t know what hit it.
“Okay.” Charlotte answered without much enthusiasm, popping a fruit Anthony offered her into her mouth. “Show me.”
“We’ll send it by private jet. It’ll be in your hands tomorrow.” The manager knew Charlotte didn’t like to chat, so once everything was reported, he hung up immediately without asking anything more.
“I want a grape.” Charlotte carelessly tossed her phone aside and leaned into Anthony, making herself cozy in his arms.
“Hold on.” Anthony glanced down at her, speaking softly. “Let me peel it. Otherwise, it’ll be bitter.”
“Fine.” Charlotte tilted her head up, her hand slipping over Anthony’s chest, voice lazy and teasing. “Anthony, you really know how to spoil me these days.”
“Don’t start.” Anthony’s fingers went still, his dark eyes growing even more intense. He shifted a bit, his voice turning deep and rough. “You like getting a reaction out of me, don’t you?”
Catching the shift in Anthony, Charlotte blinked, all innocence, and pulled her hand back, like she hadn’t done anything at all.
