Chapter 428
3rd Person’s POV
“They said Moonclaw isn’t the only Pack celebrating.” Tiara complained dramatically through the speaker. “Apparently all of Lunaris needs to know their son found his mate and that their family is getting two new members soon.” She sounded genuinely distressed, as though discussing an approaching disaster rather than her own mating ceremony. “Lady Juniper said there’s no such thing as ‘too extravagant’ when it comes to family celebrations.”
Lylah couldn’t stop the smile pulling at her lips.
Both she and Tiara had spent a long time in Blackfang, where joy was treated like a luxury and celebrations barely existed. Ironcrest had never been much different.
But she still remembered Tiara, sprawled across her bed, dreaming aloud about the future.
If I ever find my mate,’ she had declared once, ‘I want the biggest party imaginable.
Lylah remembered it perfectly.
“Tiara,” she said gently, laughter warming her voice, “this was part of your dream. You wanted this.”
‘Yeah, but…” Tiara hesitated miserably. “Back then I thought I’d still be an ordinary wolf. Now this means everyone will know I’m Damon’s mate.”
Lylah laughed softly.
‘Well then…” she teased, “Congratulations, you’ll soon became one of Moonclaw Ladies.”
‘Lylah!” Tiara nearly shrieked. “The only reason I’m surviving this is that you’re my Luna. If I had to go hrough all of this alone, who knows what would happen to me?”
Before Lylah could answer, another voice entered the conversation.
‘Don’t worry, Tiara,” Ezra said smoothly. “I’m sure Damon won’t let anything go wrong for you.” A faint amusement flickered in his eyes. “Right, Damon?”
He spoke as though he already knew Damon was somewhere nearby, lingering behind Tiara and listening
o the entire conversation just as he was.
‘Yes, Alpha,” Damon answered immediately from the other end of the call.
The response made Lylah chuckle softly.
Not long after, the call finally ended.
