Ryan continued, "I heard she took on several hulking bodyguards. I always thought you were tough, but I never expected Queena to be that ferocious."
"I've seen her picture. She looks so frail, but she's clearly a force to be reckoned with."
It wasn't that she was a great fighter; she was just completely unhinged. Queena would dare to stab someone, but those bodyguards wouldn't dare to truly fight back. If she got hurt, they'd be the ones to suffer the consequences.
I guessed Queena had realized this and used it to her advantage to escape. It also showed just how spoiled she was by her family, which was why she dared to be so audacious.
A cloud of worry settled over my face. If Queena was really back in the country, then it was highly likely that I saw her today.
"Where is she now?" I asked impatiently.
Ryan paused for a couple of seconds. "Uh, I'm not sure. My friend only found out that she flew back, but he couldn't track where she went after landing."
My brow furrowed. "Alright, I understand. Thanks!"
Ryan laughed. "No problem. I'll have my friend keep looking for you. I'll let you know if I hear anything!"
"Okay, thank you for your trouble!"
Without waiting for his reply, I hung up the phone.
That lunatic Queena must have a reason for going through all that trouble to return. I wasn't sure if she was after Steven or if she'd set her sights on another man.
Just as I was lost in thought, Steven walked in with a bowl of soup. Seeing the look on my face, his handsome brows knitted together. "What's wrong? You've been on edge ever since you got back from your check-up."
