I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 756

I froze when I heard Steven's words, completely unprepared for them.

His voice was a gentle, seductive whisper that almost had me agreeing on the spot. But I managed to hold back, forcefully pushing his hands away.

"Steven, it's the middle of the day. Wake up and stop dreaming," I said coldly.

"And don't ever say anything like that again, because there's no future for us. If you want to have any connection to this child, you'll behave. Otherwise, I'll make sure you never find us again."

Steven's face instantly turned pale. "Zephyra, why won't you just give me another chance?"

I paused. In our past life, I had said those exact words to him. Back then, all he'd given me was an icy stare and a heartless rejection.

How the tables have turned. Now it was my turn to refuse him.

I said flatly, "You never gave me a chance before, and I don't need your so-called chance now."

Back on the balcony, Linda was resting her chin on her hands, enjoying the breeze with her eyes closed.

"How are you feeling?" I asked casually, placing the things on the table.

Linda opened her eyes, her expression full of envy. "It's heavenly, and the view is incredible. Zephyra, I'm so jealous. You get to wake up to this beautiful scenery every day. If it were me, I'd feel like I was wasting it if I didn't paint five pictures a day."

I smiled. "You're exaggerating."
