Trapped in his embrace, I stumbled over my words, stammering, "Do I have a choice?"
I was nervous, truly nervous!
We'd done so much, but I'd never actually gone all the way.
Steven lifted my chin, his gaze like a vortex pulling me in. He nibbled gently on my ear, his voice growing more seductive, "I won't hurt you, Zephyra..."
He gave me a sudden nip that sent a shiver through my body. I was about to say something when his lips captured mine in a deep, lingering kiss. It seemed like he was giving me a chance to object, but in reality, he was pressing forward. With my amateur skills, I was completely flustered and ended up letting him take control in a daze.
He didn't even break the kiss as he lifted me onto the bed, whispering softly to me as he undressed me.
Based on how he'd been before, I expected Steven to be rough in some ways, like the Steven in my dreams. But in reality, he was incredibly gentle, as if he were touching not just a woman, but a precious treasure held in the palm of his hand.
It made my heart soften as well.
But no matter how treasured I was, men have their baser instincts. He went on for what felt like ages, refusing to stop even when I begged him. He held me close, whispering temptations into my ear over and over, "Zephyra, let's get married again, okay?"
"I want to remarry you. All my money will be yours."
"Zephyra, say yes, hmm?"
The man was so cunning. I couldn't resist the temptation and reluctantly agreed.
Mr. Lancaster Sr. was surprised to see me up so early. He said Steven had left first thing in the morning to take care of something and had told everyone not to wake me.
He hadn't expected me to be up already.
I didn't want to be, but my stomach wouldn't let me rest. Not wanting to worry the old gentleman, I just smiled and said that sleeping early and waking early was a good habit.
Mr. Lancaster Sr.'s gaze fell on the bright love bite on my neck, and he smiled knowingly. He had the staff bring out breakfast. "That rascal made all of this. He said it was in case you woke up early. That boy... as if I would let you go hungry! And I don't even know when he secretly learned to cook. I've never even tasted a meal he's made."
I was surprised. "He's never cooked for you, Grandpa?"
"Never. It's true what they say, you lose a son when he finds a wife," Mr. Lancaster Sr. huffed playfully. But as the staff set down the fragrant porridge, he couldn't help but add, "It actually looks pretty good. He's always so busy with work, he's never set foot in a kitchen his whole life. I can't imagine how much effort he secretly put into this. As long as that boy cherishes you, I can rest easy."
