Rosalind straightened up, not wasting another word on her. She slung her black bag over her shoulder, her posture sharp and cold, her long legs poised.
"Fabian, let's go. The person here doesn't need treatment."
Fabian was so agitated he felt like he was having a heart attack. He tried to explain, "Rosalind, listen to me. This is about Ms. Nicola, not the entire Martinez family. You..."
"Mr. Lee." Suddenly, a soft yet noble voice drifted over from a distance.
Fiona's attitude changed instantly. "Miss, what are you doing here?" she asked respectfully.
The young woman approached, holding the hem of her skirt, her poise perfect, like an angel descended to earth. A diamond clip held her pale hair to one side, and her face had a pitiable paleness. "What do you mean, I'm just me and the family is the family? The Martinez family raised me. When I'm able, I will certainly repay them."
Fiona shot Fabian a glare. He talked too much!
Fabian didn't back down, speaking officially, "Ms. Nicola, I was explaining to Cure-Master. The Martinez family has always been known for its humility. Cure-Master is Chairman Martinez's honored guest, and Fiona offended her the moment she arrived. Who will treat the chairman in the future?"
This was no joke. He had searched all of Sol to find a treasure like Rosalind.
If this clueless Fiona scared her away, what would happen to Chairman Martinez's health?
Fiona opened her mouth to speak, but the girl's brow furrowed. "Fiona!"
It was a warning. Fiona understood and didn't dare cause any more trouble.
The girl approached Rosalind, her doe-like eyes innocent and romantic. "Miss, I'm not sure what Fiona said to upset you, but I apologize on her behalf."
Rosalind's expression was impassive. "Fine."
"Fine? That's all you have to say?" Fiona couldn't stand it. "Mr. Lee, does this person you brought have any manners at all?!"
The girl grabbed her sleeve. "Fiona, don't shout. This is a public place."
Rosalind raised an eyebrow. "Oh? A misunderstanding? That money in your hand belongs to the Martinez family, doesn't it? You're quite generous with other people's money."
They were really pushing her limits, time and again.
Rosalind wasn't one to indulge such people.
The girl seemed stunned for a moment, but then she instantly reverted to her princess-like demeanor. "Mr. Lee..." Her eyes reddened, as if she had been deeply wronged.
Fabian was completely bewildered. "Ms. Nicola, if you're not sick, why did you make me run all this way?"
Rosalind was blunt. "Fabian, you handle this. Don't call me for things like this again."
With that, she didn't linger and turned to leave.
The scent coming from that Ms. Martinez was very unpleasant, somehow strange. Besides the perfume, there was something else. Rosalind couldn't quite place what it was, but it felt familiar, as if she had smelled it somewhere before...
