Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 89

“You could say that. I went to treat him before, but their security guard wouldn’t let me in, and their special assistant looked down on me,” Rosalind said, picking only two recent incidents and not mentioning the old man. “Said I was just a poor student and told me to know my place. I’m the type to hold a grudge.”

So Rosalind had figured out who Jason was long ago, she just hadn’t said anything.

The Jones and Cooper families were close, so the Turner family’s special assistant must have seen her at a party, which would explain his condescending attitude when she was trying to save someone. As for who was sitting in that limited-edition Maybach at the time, it didn’t take a genius to figure it out.

The only person who could make the arrogant Jason so deferential was the legendary business magnate, Mr. Warner Turner.

Rosalind didn’t mention how Mr. Turner had been helping the Task Force relentlessly pursue her these past few days.

After all, her current identity as the “fake heiress” was her best cover.

When David heard Rosalind’s words, his expression changed, and he glanced hesitantly at Mr. Turner.

That happened? Which special assistant would dare to look down on Cure-Master?

Warner’s fingers played with the crimson bracelet on his wrist, applying a subtle pressure. A chilling glint surfaced in his eyes.

This reaction, familiar to David, made him tense up. Was Mr. Turner… angry?

Not exactly angry, but Warner was surprised. “Even the security guard stopped you?”

“Not just stopped, he tried to chase me away,” Rosalind said nonchalantly. These were just excuses. The real reason she wouldn’t treat Mr. Turner was that she found him too dangerous.

A wise person avoids unnecessary risks.

“I haven’t met him, but the rumors are everywhere.” Rosalind thought he wanted to hear gossip and said languidly, “Everyone in your circle should know, right? Isn’t he famous for not letting anyone get close? Just like in those novels, completely uninterested in women.”

Warner took a sip of tea, his smile faint. “I would have thought being uninterested in women was a good thing.”

“I thought so too,” Rosalind leaned closer, her voice dropping to a gossipy tone. “Until I heard about him and a certain male celebrity. They say he even started an entertainment company just to promote that top male star. If that’s not true love, what is?”

It dawned on David, and his jaw dropped. “Are you saying my… that he’s gay?! He likes men?”

Cure-Master, I’m begging you, please shut up!

Can’t you see the man across from you, the one sipping tea, has eyes so cold they could freeze hell over?!
