In the estate's outer hall, people were still trickling in. Rosalind was among them, though her attire clearly stood out from the crowd.
A white shirt, jeans, and a burgundy baseball cap made her look like a student who hadn't even graduated yet.
A security guard at the door stopped her, speaking politely. "And you are?"
Before Rosalind could answer, a cold sneer came from the side. "A medical fraud dares to show her face at a Turner family event."
It was Logan. He was helping Grace over, followed by the mother-daughter duo from the Yates family...
Yolanda's eyes deliberately avoided Rosalind, not wanting anyone to know they were connected.
Rachel, on the other hand, glared as if she wanted to burn holes through Rosalind. That wretched girl was like a ghost you couldn't shake.
Rosalind raised an eyebrow, a playful, drawn-out tone in her voice. "Well, well, look at all the familiar faces."
"Who's familiar with you?" Logan sneered. "Do you have any idea where you are? Is this a place a broke loser like you can just waltz into?"
He had been wanting to put this girl in her place for a while but couldn't find any information on her no matter where he asked.
Now that he had run into her here, he was determined to make her regret it.
"Security! Get her out of here!" Logan shouted arrogantly.
Grace pretended to restrain him, shaking her head in disapproval. "Logan, how can you make things difficult for a junior?"
"Ma'am, you don't know what she's like! All she does is sweet-talk people!" Logan said bitterly. "Last time, I don't know what kind of dark magic she used, but she made me kneel for so long!"
Hearing this, Rosalind smiled slowly. "What's this? Your teacher still doesn't know that you were immobilized by a nerve pinch?"
A nerve pinch?
The onlookers gasped.
"When did she take on a student?"
"I have no idea. But why would the Turner family send her an invitation?"
People paused on their way in, their gazes fixed on Rosalind, faces filled with repulsion.
This was exactly the result Grace had wanted. She had deliberately sent a "fake invitation" to Megan's address to orchestrate this very scene. It was a shame Megan herself didn't show up.
But it didn't matter. Humiliating this wretched girl was just as good.
Besides, this wasn't even the peak of her humiliation. The real embarrassment would come when she presented her "invitation"!
Rachel caught Grace's glance and stepped forward. "For all we know, she doesn't even have an invitation. She probably forged one."
It was obvious. That wretched girl's family was from Oakhelm, a bunch of poor relatives. How could she possibly be invited by the Turner family...
