“I thought they were here for a consultation,” Horace murmured to himself.

Rosalind didn't give it much thought. She was busy typing out a message to decline a request. Lately, many people had been coming to the community to see her, some from neighboring cities and counties. It wasn’t strange for Horace to assume they were patients, especially since her biological parents were indeed in Oakhelm.

“Horace, let’s go back. We shouldn't keep Mr. Louis and the others waiting.”

“Right away,” Horace said, nodding with a smile.

One didn't elaborate, and the other didn't ask, and thus a misunderstanding was born.

Outside AMO Community, the Martinez family was growing anxious.

The young masters of the Martinez family all had work to attend to and had to leave first.

Mr. Martinez sat in a luxury van, his expression grim. “Weren’t we told Ms. Martinez lives here? Why is everyone saying they’ve never heard of her?”

“I’ll… I’ll go investigate again!” a portly Mr. Lee said, wiping sweat from his brow. “Our sources said the Yates family took the wrong baby. I’ve already sent someone to ask them. It’s possible Ms. Martinez is still with the Yates.”

Mr. Martinez raised an eyebrow, his presence commanding. “You sent someone?”

“I’ll go myself! Right now!” Mr. Lee shivered and immediately got out of the car.

Mr. Martinez coughed heavily, his anger palpable.

For years, his longing for his granddaughter had taken a toll on his health. A recent trip to Oakhelm had only made it worse, leading to a lung infection.

A physician traveling with them said worriedly, “Chairman Martinez, your condition can’t be delayed any longer. You must be hospitalized immediately. If you don’t want to return to Prax, we can seek treatment here in Sol. Mr. Lee can keep watch at AMO Community; we’re bound to get news of Ms. Martinez eventually.”

At first, Mr. Martinez refused, but when he started running a fever, the Martinez family driver didn't hesitate and drove away from AMO Community at once!
