Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 127

Was it the fish's fault for being so fragile? What did that have to do with him?

Even Mrs. Yates Sr. was baffled. "How is it that every time you go to the market, all the living creatures start acting up?"

Galeno, a bun in his mouth, looked up.

Mrs. Yates Sr. changed his clothes. "Forget it, it's just a few buckets of fish."

Rosalind raised an eyebrow, glancing at the foaming crabs nearby. "Grandma, I'm afraid it's more than just a few buckets of fish."

Mrs. Yates Sr. suddenly had a headache, pinching Galeno's thin arm. "You! Go hide, don't let Mrs. Parker see you."

But there was nowhere to hide. Within minutes, Mrs. Parker was at their door.

"Where's Galeno!"

Mrs. Parker was a large woman, and with her hands on her hips, she looked quite imposing.

Galeno tried to peek out but was casually held back by Rosalind.

He signed: What if she bullies Grandma?

Rosalind glanced at him. "They're old friends just bickering. What bullying? It gives Grandma something to do, a good distraction."

Mrs. Parker was already shouting, "Megan, look at this, just look! It's not that I'm being petty, but this is my freshest seafood delivery! The kid just stands there for a second, and it's all ruined."

Mrs. Yates Sr. soothed her, "I know, I know. For your massage this month, I'll do yours first, no charge."

Mrs. Parker muttered, "Actually, Rosalind already paid for the damages."

Mrs. Yates Sr. smiled. "Well, that’s her business, but I still have to apologize. Galeno is a reckless child. It's a good thing our neighbors are so understanding."

When Galeno first arrived, he'd scared all the neighborhood hens to death.

But the neighbors never truly gave them a hard time.

Mrs. Parker glanced into the back room. "You'll really give me my massage early? Mrs. Zade told me your shop is booming now. Good heavens, she said it's going to be one of those trendy influencer spots!"

"I'll really do yours first," Mrs. Yates Sr. assured her. "You need to be careful with your hands, moving all that seafood."

Mrs. Parker chuckled. "Rosalind just did a round at the market and gave us all some salves. She was especially concerned about me. It's just a shame my Frank is such a good-for-nothing, otherwise, if Rosalind married into our family, we'd be even closer."

Galeno's head snapped up. She's marrying someone?!

Rosalind said nonchalantly, "Mrs. Parker's just talking. What are you getting so worked up about?"
