There were a bunch of mercenaries in the woods, they were attacking Estelle and even used Josiah to threaten her. Later, Estelle was ambushed and injected with some unknown drug. After fighting back, she got tangled up with those guys.

He was so shocked at that moment, and wanted to rush over to help Estelle. But he was all weak, and then someone hit him in the neck, he passed out once more.

Josiah's head was throbbing, he couldn't think straight. He tried to get up and out of bed, but due to the drug, he was still weak. Though it wasn't as bad as before when he couldn't even walk.

Ignoring the headache, he walked to the table, grabbed a bottle of mineral water and downed it in one go.

Just as he finished, the doorbell rang. He walked over to open the door.

Amiee barged in, grabbed his clothes and asked coldly, "Where's Estelle? Where's she!"

She finished her competition late last night and only found out about the incident after checking her phone!

Josiah was pushed back by Amiee, staring at her blankly, "I don't know."

She was surrounded by so many people, was she still alive?

Amiee shoved him to the ground, gritting her teeth, "You bastard!"

Josiah fell to the ground, staring at Amiee in shock.

Suddenly Amiee's phone beeped, she checked it and her expression changed. Estelle's location in Eagle Valley finally popped up!

Amiee ignored him and started the car quickly.

Josiah was anxious, trying to recall every detail of their encounters since he met Estelle. Thinking about it, Estelle never annoyed him. It was him who always had prejudices against her because of his relationship with Yvonne!

No matter how he treated her, Estelle seemed to never get angry at him. She never showed any disgust, she always had an unexplainable tolerance towards him.

He thought she was pretending, deliberately playing the role of a gentle and harmless person, but he didn't realize that it was him who was the pampered yet stupid one.
