Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 674

Charlie stared blankly at the transfer interface on his phone, feeling as if his heart had been ripped open and stuffed with ice, chilling him to the core from head to toe.

He didn't know if it was because of the alcohol, but his head felt like it was being torn apart with pain, aching all over his body. He stumbled back a few steps, sat down on the edge of the bed, trying not to recall anything that happened last night.

He had to see Emily and have her tell him in person!

He grabbed his suit jacket and headed out.

Noreen ran over to him, hugging him tightly while crying, "Mr. James, I really like you! Money has nothing to do with it! We were happy last night, let's start over!"

"Get the hell away!" Charlie tore Noreen off, his eyes icy cold. "You think sleeping with me will make me marry you? You don't even know how many women I've slept with! Get lost before I even bother with you, and it's best that you leave J City, or else, I'll make your life miserable!"

Noreen couldn't help but step back, looking at Charlie fearfully.

Charlie didn't even want to look at her anymore as he turned around and left hastily.

Emily had been feeling unwell ever since she got back. Luckily, it was Saturday, and she didn't have to go to work.

Unable to bear it any longer around lunchtime, she went downstairs to buy herself some medicine.

When she returned, Charlie was sitting in the living room. He was leaning against the sofa, staring out the window, not even turning his head when he heard the door open.

Emily stood there for a while before putting down her medicine and walking towards the man.

She stood a meter away from him and called out, "Charlie."

Wearing a tight, high-neck sweater, her face had lost its plumpness, her chin pointy. Only her big eyes remained, but the sparkle was gone.

Tears streamed down Emily's face as she shook her head slowly, unable to speak.

"Don't worry, I won't take revenge on you! I forgot the principle that I can't deal with poor girls, it's my own stupidity!"

Charlie was filled with hatred as he cursed, "Get out of this house! From now on, do not ever say you know me again!"

As Emily looked up, her tears welled up again, rolling down his hand and seeping into his shirt, making his arm tremble.

Unable to bear the pain, he threw her onto the sofa and left without looking back.

Collapsed on the sofa, Emily didn't move for some time, knowing that this outcome was inevitable.
