Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 606

Yvonne looked up and frowned slightly. "Sorry, Mr. Mayfield asked for a real hit, so I'm just acting as he requested."

Hattie looked down and chuckled, "In the previous scenes, you basically passed them in one take, but somehow, you've done this one many times over. Are you enjoying it?"

Yvonne glanced at Hattie and then down at her script. "I'm not sure what you're implying."

"There are no cameras or reporters here. Let's be honest with each other," Hattie leaned in and raised her eyebrows, "If I'm not mistaken, your dislike for me stems from Mr. Lamont, doesn't it?"

Since their initial encounter, Hattie had sensed Yvonne's hostility towards her, and she couldn't help but wonder if the buzz surrounding the cocktail party had been orchestrated by Yvonne's team.

Yvonne looked up, her expression calm and collected. "You're overthinking it."

"Am I?" Hattie smiled. "If it's because of Mr. Lamont, then you've got the wrong person. The one who truly deserves your animosity isn't me!"

Yvonne frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Can't you see it? Mr. Lamont has feelings for Estelle!" Hattie's voice turned cold, with a barely detectable hint of jealousy.

Yvonne's eyes narrowed. "You're just speculating?"

"Of course not!" Hattie sneered, "Estelle might seem innocent, but she's actually cunning. You've wasted your time treating her like a friend. In fact, she's already hooked up with Mr. Lamont!"

Yvonne's face turned pale, "What's going on?"

Hattie's eyes burned with animosity. "Before you came back to the country, Estelle had already met Mr. Lamont. She even claimed to be his niece. In reality, she was just a tutor for the Lamont family. I was foolish enough to believe that they were truly uncle and niece. So, when I saw them together at the banquet, I thought nothing of it. It wasn't until later, when things seemed suspicious, that I started investigating. That's when I discovered that Estelle was merely a classmate of Mr. Lamont's actual niece!"

Yvonne's hands turned icy cold, her heart filled with unrest. She had always believed that Jonathan had feelings for her and that he wouldn't be swayed by anyone else, even after all these years of separation.

But now she questioned whether his actions were merely a response to her rejection all those years ago—a form of retaliation against her.

It's only natural for a man to lose control once in a while, but she wouldn't allow for the person in his heart not to be her!

Yvonne inhaled deeply to calm her panic and pulled out her phone to call Josiah.

Josiah answered quickly, happily saying, "Yvonne? What made you think of calling me? Isn't your movie starting today? I was planning to come visit you after work this afternoon."

"Josiah!" Yvonne's voice was heavy, "We're the closest of friends, and you've never lied to me, right?"
