Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 466

Emily came in, looking kind of embarrassed, pushing Estelle out, "I'll clean up. You just wait outside."

Before Estelle could say anything, a phone call came in.

She glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Jonathan. She went outside to answer the call, walking all the way to the balcony. She took a deep breath of fresh air from outside before answering, "Hello?"

"Ella, did you arrive?" Jonathan asked gently.

Estelle replied, "Uh-huh, already here!"

"What are you doing?"

"Cleaning up the house!"

Jonathan raised an eyebrow, "Has the house been unoccupied for a long time?"

Estelle thought that Jonathan probably hadn't seen or couldn't imagine how dirty some people could be.

She looked back at Emily who was busily cleaning and said softly, "Uh, you better let Millard go back first. I might not be able to leave until this afternoon. Don't let him wait."

"It's going to take a while?" Jonathan paused, "Send me your address. If I have time this afternoon, I'll come to pick you up!"

Estelle hummed in response, hung up the phone, and sent the address to Jonathan.

After sending the message, Estelle went to join Emily in cleaning. They started by sweeping the floor of each room, which was incredibly filthy. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned for months. There was a thick layer of grime that couldn't even be swept away.

Emily felt very embarrassed, but Estelle didn't say anything and quietly joined her in cleaning.

After more than ten minutes, they hadn't even finished cleaning the floor of one room. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door.

Estelle went to open it, and outside stood four people wearing uniforms. They politely asked, "Are you Ms. Macclain?"

Estelle raised an eyebrow, but didn't say much. Frankly, she still lacked some basic knowledge about how to live independently. She forgot that she could hire cleaning crew. If she had known earlier, she would have called them herself!

With the professionals now handling the cleaning, Emily and Estelle could stop scrubbing. They washed their hands and started unpacking their stuff.

Mathilda heard the noise outside and opened the door. When she saw the cleaning staff, she sneered, "Rich people, hiring others to clean up for them. If I had known, I would have asked you to give me the money, and I would clean!"

Estelle's expression turned a bit cold. It was one thing for Mathilda to live here and not clean the house herself, but now she was taking advantage and being sassy about it. She was so shameless!

However, Estelle held back her anger, knowing it wasn't her living here, but Emily who would be staying with Mathilda. Starting a conflict wouldn't make things any easier for Emily.

Emily didn't say anything either, pulling Estelle into her room.

When they were at the Royal Mansion, everything was provided for them. Quilts, kitchenware, and toiletries were all new. They didn't need to prepare anything. Now that they moved here, they had to take care of everything themselves.
