Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1670

The meeting officially kicked off. Jonathan, in a nonchalant manner, was slouched against his chair, a lollipop lodged in his mouth. He listened attentively as Chuck and others discussed project proposals, his gaze occasionally drifting to Estelle, where it would linger for a few seconds.

Estelle, on the other hand, pulled out her draft. With a pencil in one hand, she traced the outlines slowly and deliberately.

As time went by, the meeting progressed smoothly.

While the planning department presented their report, Jonathan opened a bottle of water and placed it in front of Estelle. She picked up the water without even raising her head, took a sip, and continued with her work.

The manager of the planning department paused, a chill running down his spine as Jonathan's gaze met his. He quickly regained his focus and carried on with his presentation.

The company's executives, realizing Jonathan's apparent disapproval of anyone sneaking glances at Estelle, decided to avoid doing so. The meeting went on more intensely than usual.

Jonathan's concentration during the meeting was absolute. However, the juxtaposition of his lollipop and his suit and tie attire was amusing. Chuck and his colleagues unanimously agreed that their usually stern and sharp boss had transformed into a charming and playful CEO for the day!

Halfway through the meeting, when Estelle took a break to drink some water, she overheard Chuck saying, "After finalizing the collaboration project with the Crawley family, they've been very satisfied, ringing us multiple times to send a representative over as soon as possible."

Estelle's eyes narrowed slightly, a sense of unease settling in her heart. She didn't listen any further. Instead, she lowered her head and carried on with her work.

The meeting lasted almost two hours. Estelle was used to sitting for hours while working on her designs, so she didn't feel the time drag. However, she had consumed a lot of water and had to excuse herself to the restroom.

While washing her hands, she heard the click-clack of high heels approaching. Soon, Sabina appeared in the doorway, a look of surprise in her eyes.

"Do you really think your grandfather would keep calling me patiently just because I'm a Macclain?" Estelle asked, looking at her calmly.

Sabina was taken aback. "You may not care about the Macclain family, but you certainly care about Mr. Lamont! The Lamont Group has been collaborating with the Crawley family. Don't let Mr. Lamont ruin this partnership because he's defending you. The Lamont Group has been preparing for this collaboration for a whole half a year!"

"The relationship between Jonathan and I is none of your business!" Estelle took a step forward. "Move!"

"Leave the Lamont Group immediately, or I'll make things difficult for you today!" Sabina threatened, her face cold and defiant.

A sinister glint flickered in Estelle's eyes as she kicked towards Sabina's stomach.
