Emily let out a soft sigh, running her fingers through her hair, her mind full of chaos.

But Charlie's expression just now was no different than usual. Did he forget about what happened last night?

Emily tried to recall, but her memories were as chaotic as last night's events.

"Hurry up, quit dilly-dallying!" Charlie suddenly knocked on the door.

"Oh!" Emily jumped, thinking that Charlie could see her anxious expression in the bathroom.

Emily got dressed and came out to find Charlie feeding Kya in the dining room.

Upon seeing Emily, Kya immediately shouted with joy, "Mommy!"

"Morning!" Emily responded with a warm smile on her face.

"During breakfast, I wanted to wake you up. Uncle Charlie said you stayed up late, so you should sleep in. Mommy, did you get enough rest?" Kya asked.

Emily glanced at Charlie instinctively. He casually handed her a roll and asked, "How do you feel? If you're not feeling well, you don't have to go to work today."

"No need; I'm awake now." Emily's face was somewhat embarrassed. She took the roll and said, "Thanks for taking care of Kya."

The moment the day broke, Charlie returned to his usual cool and steady self. His loss of control and suppressed feelings last night seemed like they were all just a dream.

Emily decided to treat last night's events as if they never happened.

Hopefully Charlie had already forgotten!

Charlie lifted his head and looked over, his gaze indifferent and somewhat mocking. "You should think about what happened last night!"

Emily was stunned for few seconds.

"What, she won't come back?" Simone asked.

"Considering everything that's happened, it's normal for Estelle to be upset. We'll take it slow."

Simone scoffed, "I think we've been too indulgent with Estelle! She thinks that with the support of the Lamont family, she can boss us around? If one day the Lamonts stop caring for her, let's see if Estelle can still be so arrogant."

Bennett pondered, "The most important thing now is to figure out the Lamont family's attitude towards Estelle."

"Do you really think the Lamont will accept her as Jonathan's wife just because she's pretty?" Simone sneered.

Bennett wanted to say that Estelle and Jonathan were actually already married, but if he did, Simone would blame him for not marrying Carmella to Jonathan initially.
