Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1287

Jonathan's gaze was icy cold and his attitude vague, "Let's talk next time. Henson's grades have improved significantly, and I was planning to take Estelle to dinner today."

Terrence chuckled warmly, "Ella works for the Lamont family and is very grateful for Mr. Lamont's care. Be sure to stay for dinner next time so I can show my appreciation."

Jonathan gave a nonchalant smile, "Dinner isn't important. I just hope that the next time, Estelle won't get cursed out as soon as she walks in the door."

Terrence's face shifted slightly and he hastily replied, "That won't happen, not at all. Today was just a misunderstanding!"

Jonathan didn't say much else. He turned to Estelle and asked, "Shall we go?"

Estelle nodded and called for Henson to leave with them. The Macclain family all stood up to see them off.

Hans sidled up to Henson and whispered, "Jonathan sure is intimidating!"

Henson arched an eyebrow, "Of course, today was just a small show."

Hans said, "It's good you guys came, otherwise they might have scolded Ella even more."

Henson looked at him dismissively, "Can't you speak up for her?"

"I tried to defend her, but no one listened to me!" Hans said, sounding a bit forlorn.

Henson rolled his eyes at him again, exasperated.

After leaving the villa, Jonathan personally opened the car door for Estelle. Sabina's face was chilly. For the Lamont family, Estelle was an outsider, yet she sat in Jonathan's passenger seat while Henson sat in the back.

Still, Jonathan felt a pang of heartache. He held Estelle's hand tightly and looked deeply into her eyes, "I'll be here from now on!"

"Me too, I'm your family too!" Henson's head popped out from between the seats, "If anyone ever bullies you again, no matter who they are, I’ll stand up for you!"

"Thank you," Estelle's eyes were clear, "Thanks for helping me today!"

Jonathan's lips curled into a small smile, "Why should we stick up for you when you can just tell them you're the heir to the Jarvis family?"

Estelle raised an eyebrow, "Right, then they wouldn't dare neglect me. But that also means I'll have a lot of trouble. So, I'd rather let the Macclain family think I'm a nobody."

Jonathan knew she hated dealing with complex relationships, his heart softened, "Alright, I'll handle these things from now on!"
