Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1241

"Obviously, it's crucial to maintain good relations with your coworkers, hell, even more so with your superiors. Like, if you ever butt heads with your boss, you have got to find a solution as soon as possible, so you don't really piss him off and land yourself in hot water," Henson said, taking his sweet time.

Estelle, hearing his words, snorted, "You're not hinting at the thing between me and Jonathan, are you?"

"Sharp cookie, you're not as bad as I thought!" Henson responded, grinning like a Cheshire cat.

"Cut the crap. If I'm such a dunce, how come I ended up as your teacher and you're not mine?"

"Stop beating around the bush. Are you planning on keeping up this relationship with him?" Henson asked, raising an eyebrow.

"He's the one who's mad at me."

"Then you should think about what you did to tick him off!"

Estelle glared at him, her eyes flashing with anger, "Even if he's your uncle, I'm still your teacher. Don't be so biased!"

"Who's the one who started the fight?" Henson shot back defiantly, "I'm being fair here!"

"How do you know he's not just throwing a tantrum? Besides, even if I extend an olive branch, he might not accept it."

"Humph!" Henson was skeptical. "If you make the first move, I bet he'll forgive you in a heartbeat!"

A flicker of irritation flashed across Estelle's eyes. "Enough about him. Time for class!"

Henson looked at her and smirked, "Running away won't solve anything!"

Estelle paused while flipping through book but didn't reply.

The first class went smoothly. During the break, Henson took out several test papers out of his bag, "Take a look!"

"The results are in?" Estelle took them, glanced over and immediately broke into a smile, "Not bad!"

"Come on, I'll go with you. Even if my uncle doesn't give you the time of day, he'll do it for me. I promise I won't let you be embarrassed!" Henson shoved the test papers into her hands and pulled her towards the door.

Once they reached the third floor and stood in front of Jonathan's bedroom, Henson whispered, "Don't chicken out, knock with confidence!"

Estelle held the papers tightly in her hand and gently knocked on the door. After waiting for a few seconds with no response, she turned to Henson, "Are you sure he's home?"

"He's in, I saw him this morning, and I didn't see him leave." Henson assured her confidently, "Knock again, louder this time. He might not hear you from inside."

Estelle suddenly remembered what Millard had said the day she returned from the party. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door again.

Still, no response.

Could Jonathan know it was her outside? Was he intentionally ignoring her?
