Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1135

Emily hopped into the car. Unexpectedly, Charlie was serious this time, “Come sit up front. I need to talk to you.”

Emily had no choice but to get out of the car and sit in the shotgun seat.

Charlie waited until she buckled up before starting the car.

She was getting more and more nervous. No matter where her gaze fell, she couldn't ignore the pressure this man beside her was giving her.

Her dependence on and trust in Charlie were long gone, all he brought her now was fear.

Charlie glanced at her, sensing her fear. His mood turned gloomier.

He handed her a job application form, “Monday, bring this to the office. Bring your documents and stuff, someone will help you with the apply for the job."

Emily was taken aback, “Where?”

Charlie kept a poker face and continued to watch the road, “The James family building.”

Emily's eyes widened in surprise, “When did I say I was going to work with the James family?”

“This is a decision I made for you.” Charlie looked at her, “You wanted to repay me, right? You wanted to make up for past mistakes, right? Well, working for my company is the best repayment you can give me.”

Emily was startled, “But I haven't graduated.”

“Finish your thesis and send it to me, I'll have someone handle all the graduation stuff. You don't need to go back to Oakdale City.”

Emily was having trouble accepting this sudden change. She was going to work at his company?

“How long?” Emily asked.

“What?” Charlie turned to look at her.

Emily said, “I can work at your company, and I don't need a salary. But you have to give me a time limit. Once the time is up, you let me go!”

Charlie's expression darkened instantly. He suddenly pulled over, and turned his gloomy eyes on her, “Emily Sullivan, why are you so eager to leave me? You were the one who betrayed me! Did I wrong you?”

Emily clenched her lips, not daring to look at him.

"Why won't you say anything?" Charlie was furious, "What did I do wrong to make you sell me out to Noreen, then leave me? Now you're avoiding me like I'm some kind of virus! Tell me clearly, why?"
