He wondered when Martin would finally see through these little schemes.
Brandon now found their tactics utterly clumsy and couldn't understand why his old man fell for them every time.
It was astounding.
Of course, Martin would probably never understand how this mother-daughter duo manipulated him.
But it didn't matter anymore. All Brandon wanted now was to get back the company shares they held.
Bella shot Brandon a cold glance. "Brandon, I suggest you stop focusing on my mother and me and put more effort into running the company. After all, when my mother and I attend the next shareholder meeting together, who knows what kind of changes might happen?"
These days, Bella spoke with newfound confidence in the house.
With the largest portion of shares in her hands, she naturally had a powerful voice.
But the more Bella brought it up, the more Brandon's frustration shifted toward Martin.
Getting older, but not any wiser.

Lately, Lillian had been receiving constant updates from Marcus about Debbie's gambling.
The more she learned, the more terrified she became.
Debbie's bets were getting bigger and bigger. If she hadn't been denied a passport, Lillian suspected she would have used her connections to gamble for even higher stakes overseas.
The Blake elders had shown great foresight by confiscating her passport and keeping her in the country. If she went abroad, any problems would be much harder to control.
Whenever Debbie wanted to travel abroad for a vacation, she was accompanied by a team of strict supervisors.
Eventually, she gave up on traveling, since she couldn't enjoy herself freely.
After a quiet weekend at Halfridge Villas, the online controversy had yet to affect Lillian there.
"What's going on? How could this happen?"
Bella was completely bewildered after reading it.
An official statement? Wasn't this a huge slap in the face to them?
She quickly handed the phone to Martin. "Dad, what is this? What has Lillian been doing? My miscarriage was all her fault! She was clearly taken away by the police, so how did it end up like this?
"What kind of strings did she pull to get the authorities to release a statement like this?"
Martin was equally shocked when he saw the report.
"This... I have no idea." He then looked up at his two sons.
Brandon and Colin had also seen the news by now.
Brandon said, "Dad, don't look at us. How would we know? But since it's an official statement, it means Lillian was, in fact, framed."
