“What’s wrong?”
Aurora said, “I mean, did you just hang up on her like that?”
“I already made myself clear. If she still wants to pretend otherwise, then there’s no point in continuing the conversation.”
Lucas spoke directly, cutting straight to the truth.
“Besides, there are plenty of actors and judges in the industry. I don’t believe we can’t find someone else.”
Hearing that, Aurora suddenly came to her senses.
It dawned on her that she had been stuck in a strange mindset, believing the show couldn’t go on without Yvonne.
But now she realized Yvonne had been acting self-important all along. She thought too highly of herself, when in fact, the show could absolutely continue without her.
“So what should we do now?”
Aurora had developed the habit of asking for Lucas’ opinion on everything.
Somehow, having him around always made her feel at ease.
Compared to before, she felt she had changed in some ways.
But she found she actually liked this change.
After all, she was facing her husband.
And since her man had the ability to handle these things for her, why wouldn’t she let him?
Why insist on doing everything alone just to prove something?
She could still remember and appreciate the help she received.
With that thought, Aurora sighed.
Seeing it, Lucas asked curiously, “What’s wrong? Why the sigh all of a sudden?”
