A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 68

"What's wrong, Ana?" Thomas looked at his sister with confusion.

Ana leaned close to Thomas and whispered, "Let's not catch the animals. It's too cruel."

Although Ana was whispering, Nigel and George, who sat nearby, heard her. Demi, with her sharp hearing, also caught the words.

The three of them pretended not to hear anything and stayed silent.

Meanwhile, the viewers heard everything.

"Ana is so kind-hearted!"

"Kind-hearted? She'd be the first to go out if chaos strikes!"

"What's the point? It's not as if Ana never eats meat! If she's so kind, why eat meat at all? I bet she even wears animal fur or leather!"

"Does she think it's fine for others to kill for her to eat as long as she doesn't see it? Isn't that self-deception?"

"I'm curious what she would do if she had to survive in the wilderness."

"I just realized we forgot something. I'll handle building the stove," Thomas quickly changed the subject.

"So, what should we do then?" Maria turned to Demi.

"We'll just look around and see what we can find," Demi replied.

"Exactly. Although we have specific tasks, there's no need to stick strictly to them. If we find anything useful, we can bring it back," Nigel nodded.

"Agreed," the group echoed.

"Where should we set up the picnic area?" Chad asked.

"Maybe we can decide after looking around?" Thomas suggested.

"We need to find a spot with open terrain to prevent fires. We don't want to cause trouble," Nigel added.

Demi proposed, "I suggest starting with the lakeside. Open areas near water are usually a good choice for cooking. "

"Oh, true!" The group's eyes lit up, and they nodded in agreement.

"Let's head out, then," Nigel said.
