The neighbor speaking to Margaret was Audrey Stevenson. She was 60 years old and was very caring.
When Margaret felt that she would pass away back then, she asked her neighbors not to inform Demi about it if she fainted or left the world. She also told them not to send her to the hospital and arrange a funeral for her instead.
Lastly, she begged them to find a place for her grandchild to stay in.
Since they had been neighbors for a long time and Margaret was very kind, everyone agreed to help her.
Back then, Margaret took out her savings and asked them to use it for the funeral, but the neighbors refused it, saying that they would raise money themselves to prepare for the funeral.
She didn't want to be sent to the hospital because she knew that her illness couldn't be treated. Instead of spending a lot of money in the hospital, she wanted to pass peacefully at home.
Yet, Audrey didn't expect Margaret to wake up!
The doctors said that there was no hope left!
"Yes, I don't know how I woke up," Margaret said with a smile.
She was afraid to tell the others that Demi had treated her because she worried that other patients would ask the latter for help.
It wasn't that she was unwilling to let Demi help everyone. Instead, she knew that the latter wasn't experienced enough since she only learned medicine for one year. If she harmed someone in the process, she would suffer the consequences.
When Demi turned into an experienced, real doctor in the future, she could help the neighbors then.
"It's great that you woke up." Audrey nodded happily.
"Mrs. Moone, did you know that Josh had a brain aneurysm recently? He also fainted like you. Though he spent a lot of money in the hospital, his illness wasn't cured. He remained unconscious and was sent home a few days later. He's only 50 years old."
"Is that so?" Margaret was stunned. After thinking about it, she suggested, "Perhaps, he could see a traditional medicine doctor."
"He saw many doctors and even spent a bomb in Jargonia. However, his illness couldn't be treated." Audrey shook her head.
"Oh…" Margaret hesitated.
She wondered, "Should I let Demi treat him?"
Though Margaret was kind, she loved Demi a lot.
Before she fainted, she kept telling the others not to inform Demi if she died. Besides, she immediately refused when people advised her to let Demi take care of Timothy.
She didn't want Demi to be burdened by her.
