A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 34

"Felix, this young lady rescued me," Benedict said immediately.

"Thank you for saving him," Felix said to Demi.

"No problem." Demi smiled and shook her head.

The next moment, Felix frowned and looked at Benedict. "I told you earlier to walk around the base of the mountain instead of climbing it. This route is rocky. But you didn't listen to me."

"I wanted to look at the sunrise," Benedict replied cheerfully. He really didn't listen to advice.

"You can watch it from the base of the mountain," Felix answered disapprovingly.

"It's stifling to watch it from below," Benedict replied stubbornly, which frustrated the others.

Demi didn't join in the quarrel. She crouched down and plucked out the needles from Benedict's body.

"Thank you," the three men simultaneously thanked her.

"Don't be so polite. You can help him sit up now." Demi kept her acupuncture needle kit and held it in her hands.

Sean helped Benedict up and made him sit on a nearby rock. Then, he kneeled and supported the latter.

"His heart problem is alarming. You should find a skillful doctor to help him. He should also stop climbing mountains. Since I have something to do, I'll be leaving now," Demi said.

She didn't interact with strangers well. Besides, she was busy. And most importantly, Benedict was now fine.

However, someone didn't believe her.

"Wait a minute. Mr. West Senior might still be in danger. Can't you leave after his personal doctor arrives?" Felix hurriedly stopped her.

"Yes. I've already called Mr. West Senior's personal doctor just now. He's coming soon. Just wait for a few more minutes," Sean replied.

"Alright." Demi nodded.

"Sean, don't you have my name card with you? Give me one. I'm going to pass it to this lady," Benedict said.

"Alright."

Sean took out a name card from his coat and passed it to Benedict, who then

handed it to Demi seriously.

Demi accepted it.

The name card had a metallic quality to it and had a minimalistic palette. There was a name and phone number printed on it, but his position wasn't written there. It was a simple name card.

Demi noticed that a magnificent name, "Benedict West", was printed on it.

"I'm Benedict West. You saved my life, so you can look for me if you ever need help in the future. Even if I'm not here anymore, you can look for my family. As long as it isn't illegal and unethical, my family will try their best to help you," Benedict declared.

Soon, Sean said, "I'm Sean Weston, Mr. West Senior's secretary. My number is printed below. If you can't reach Mr. West Senior, you can call me instead."

Glancing at it once more, Demi realized that Sean's number was also printed on the name card. She was a little embarrassed by the formal way they treated her because she thought her actions were simple.

"I'm Felix Harrington. This is my name card. If you ever need help in the future, you can look for me too."
