Harold was too lost in his own thoughts to notice the stunned and deeply shaken look Thomas was giving him.
Both Harold and Thomas were clearly distracted, and everyone else in the tent—and those watching the livestream—noticed it.
Even though their reasons were different, in everyone's eyes, their behavior meant one thing.
...
"Harold and Thomas are definitely hiding something."
"Harold wouldn't even swear. That says it all."
"From what we've seen in past episodes, it really looks like the Pitt family tried to kill Demi—maybe in some fire."
"If that's true, Harold calling Demi out for not helping Ana is downright laughable."
"Unbelievable. The audacity."
"Don't forget—Demi saved Thomas twice."
"Remember the look on Thomas' face after she saved him last season? That wasn't just gratitude. That was guilt."
"Thomas swore without hesitation. He probably had nothing to do with it."
The comment section lit up with people dragging Harold, Thomas, and the entire Pitt family.
...
Back at the Pitt residence, Michelle was watching the livestream. She saw what people were saying and started panicking. She quickly began typing.
@SweetMich: "This is all a misunderstanding!"
She added another comment. "I know the truth—Harold and Thomas never wanted to hurt anyone!"
"Oh, please. Even if you do know them, how would you know what they were really thinking? You think they'd just tell you, 'Hey, I'm planning to kill someone today?'"
@SweetMich: "Don't worry about how I know. I know. Just stop slandering them already!"
"Yeah, okay, we totally believe you. Not."
"Diehard Pitt family fan, huh? So loyal you're out here embarrassing yourself."
"Open your eyes. Harold's expression was practically dripping with guilt."
Michelle was fuming. She nearly exposed her real identity from sheer frustration.
