The production team led the eight guests into a field.
There were three rows of red flags on the ground, which split the potato patch into four sections.
"Alright. You'll have to choose the section you want according to the number on your courtyard. Here's a gentle reminder. You can't steal the other teams' potatoes, or you'll lose points.
"Moreover, no matter how big or small the potatoes are, you'll have to arrange and place them properly into bags. If you leave out too many potatoes, you'll lose points.
"Lastly, please don't damage the potatoes when you dig them out. If you spoil too many potatoes, you'll lose points too," Matt said loudly.
He added, "The farmers put in a lot of effort to plant the potatoes. Please treat them carefully."
"Alright!" the guests replied.
"Now, I'll invite the villagers to do a demonstration for everyone. Look carefully."
Everyone watched as the villagers demonstrated how to dig the potatoes. They thought that the actions were easy, but required a lot of strength.
Once the demonstration was over, everyone got to work.
Maria tested the weight of the shovel and was instantly winded. She felt that she could only dig ten potatoes before feeling exhausted.
"I'll dig the potatoes, Demi. You can pick them," Maria said, gripping the shovel tightly. It seemed as if she was preparing for war.
The comments poured in.
"Haha! Maria finally realizes the disadvantages of grouping with a female."
"If it were up to you, would you choose to team up with a girl who knows how to cook or with a strong man?"
"I'll choose someone who can cook well. I can't stand eating burnt food! I won't mind even if we lose the mission and get less prizes."
"That's right. Even if I win all the great cooking ingredients, everything will be useless if I team up with someone who doesn't know how to cook."
Maria thought that she looked stronger than Demi. Demi was young, but she looked extremely skinny.
"Is she malnourished?" Maria wondered.
"This is too heavy, Maria. Let me do it," Demi said, trying to take the shovel from her.
"This is very heavy. You won't be able to move it." Maria gripped the handle tightly.
Though the other groups had gotten to work, Demi and Maria were still fighting over the shovel.
