After that, the footage showed how the fire engulfed Demi, who was trapped in the car. Then, the explosion happened.
Demi was trapped in the car until the very end, and she didn't escape at all. No one else came to her rescue as well.
Felix frowned deeply, and he rewound the video back to the beginning to watch it more closely. He figured he had to have missed out on something. However, everything was still the same as before.
He watched the video repeatedly for more than 100 times, and he still couldn't believe his eyes. Demi didn't escape, and no one saved her. What did that mean?
Felix continued watching the video and saw how the firefighters came and opened the door. Even then, he still didn't see Demi escaping or being rescued by someone.
Felix looked up at Zack and asked, "Have you digitally analyzed the footage before? How did Demi escape the fire? Did someone save her?"
Zack smiled bitterly and said, "We've done everything we could to analyze the video, but we never found out how she got out, let alone seeing anyone saving her."
"Then, how is she alive and well right now?" Felix asked with a frown.
"We're wondering the same question as well. At first, we thought she was dead. Although we didn't manage to find her body, we just figured her corpse was blown somewhere else during the explosion. To our surprise, not only did she survive, but she had no injuries at all.
"At least, we can't see any injuries on the surface. It's not scientifically possible at all. After all, the fire was raging, and the explosion was huge. Even if she managed to survive, most of her body would've been burned badly."
Then, Zack said while shaking his head with a bitter smile, "I'm not the superstitious type, but when I was taking her statement, I couldn't help but check if she had any shadows. I can't believe I was suspecting her for being a ghost!"
"What about the Pitt family? Were they intentionally trying to kill her, or was it all just an accident?" Felix remained cold as he changed the topic.
