Michelle's heart immediately broke when she saw Ana crying. After all, she had pampered Ana for years, and the latter was once the Pitt family's only daughter.
Ana had always been kind, innocent, and fragile since she was young, so Michelle would always want to protect her.
"Is Demi doing this on purpose?" Michelle asked angrily.
"Mom, those ladies left on their own accord because they wanted to see Connor, Chad, and George. As for Connor, Demi saved me and him last time, so it's not weird for him to attend her party. Demi also helped Chad and George a lot, so it's normal for them to be here as well.
"Demi didn't invite them on purpose, and she didn't intentionally tempt everyone to attend her party," Thomas explained with a frown.
"Michelle, our son is way better than you!" Stephen looked at Michelle disappointedly. "If you continue being like this in front of Demi in the future, then the family will be in a mess because of you. From now on, you should treat Demi and Ana equally and not be biased at all!"
Hearing that, Robert's eyes widened in shock. He didn't understand why they should treat Demi and Ana equally. To him, Demi was just a housekeeper, and Ana was the daughter of the Pitt family. So, the two ladies weren't on the same level at all.
Then, he wondered if his family was feeling guilty and wanted to make it up to Demi. Still, it didn't make sense to him for wanting to treat Ana and Demi equally.
Michelle knew Stephen made sense, but she still stubbornly came up with an excuse. "Demi knew Annie was celebrating her birthday here, so why did she have to have her party here in the opposite hall?"
"Maria was the one who chose the venue. It has nothing to do with Demi. Demi didn't even plan on celebrating her birthday at all. Besides, this hotel is the closest and nicest place from our class," Thomas explained again with a frown.
