A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 222

"What videos?" Charles blushed and took out his earphones. Before he almost jumped out of his seat in agitation, he realized that his right leg was fractured.

"Why can't you have more faith in me, your son?" he mumbled in embarrassment.

Since his skin was pale, the redness on his cheeks was evident as he blushed.

"Why do you look so guilty?" Narrowing his eyes, Derek motioned at the laptop. "Open it."

As Charles kept hesitating, Derek approached the laptop and opened it himself. When he saw what was on the screen, he paused.

Derek turned to look at Charles and said in frustration, "Look at you. Why are you still thinking about this?"

A group of monks were doing exercises on-screen.

"I like martial arts. What's so bad about that?" Charles muttered.

"Alright, I have no time to discuss this with you. I have serious matters to discuss instead." Derek pulled a chair over and sat down.

"What's wrong?" Charles hurriedly sat up straight.

He breathed a sigh of relief that Derek didn't ask him any further questions about his secret fighting lessons.

"Is your classmate, Temi, pretty?" Derek asked seriously.

Charles remained silent. He had almost spat out the tea in his mouth!

So that was what Derek was referring to.

Why else would he ask about a girl's appearance for no reason?

Meanwhile, Derek stared at Charles disapprovingly. "Speak. Why are you blanking out?"

The latter snapped out of his daze and replied quickly, "Do you mean Demi? She's alright."

"What do you mean by that? Elaborate further," Derek said, frowning.
