"You're asking me what happened?" Jacob shot Rebecca an irritated look.
"Why don't you tell me how much trouble your nephew has caused these past two days? Not only did you fail to stop him, but you even covered for him!
"He turned the International Program into a complete mess! Do you think the board would tolerate that? They invested a fortune into this school so their kids could get a proper education, not to watch bullying and fights every day!"
Rebecca's expression stiffened, a flicker of guilt flashing across her face.
She had known things had spiraled out of control, especially since they had messed with Fuller Group's scion.
She just hadn't expected Joseph's expulsion to drag her down with him.
"Mr. Stronghold, I admit Joseph was impulsive this time, but Demi isn't exactly innocent either! If she hadn't shoved Joseph and Gerald's heads into a trash can, they wouldn't have lost their minds and done what they did afterward," Rebecca argued, her voice soft and delicate as she tried to defend herself.
"Are you seriously still trying to twist the story?" Jacob gave her a strange look.
"Why don't you mention the part where they were bullying her first? Do you think she did that for no reason?"
Rebecca fell silent.
"Enough! Pack your things and get out! I don't ever want to see you or your nephew here again!" Jacob snapped impatiently.
Panic surged through Rebecca. "Mr. Stronghold, please! Just give me one more chance! I've been teaching here for years! Even if I don't have any major achievements, I've at least worked hard—"
"Don't even start with that. I haven't even brought up Vanessa yet! How did you bully her out of the school? The board knows all about it now!
"And let's not forget all the other students you targeted just because you didn't like them. If Sidney hadn't been covering for you, I would've kicked you out a long time ago!" Jacob cut her off coldly.
"You thought you could throw your weight around in the Regular Class? Fine. But then you dared to pull the same tricks in the International Program? Don't act like I don't know what you were up to.
"You wanted to cozy up to the rich kids and secure some benefits for yourself. But guess what? You were too smart for your own good.
"You brought your usual schemes into the International Program, and now you've crashed and burned. So drop the innocent act. Do you think you deserve any sympathy?"
Rebecca stayed silent.
