A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 138

"Like I've said, I don't have any medical skills at all. I'm just an illiterate village bumpkin!" Margaret was so anxious that the color had drained from her face.

"But I heard that you cured your neighbor who was terribly sick. Also, Ms. Demi only learned from you for a year before becoming so great at medicine. I'm sure you have great medical skills as well, so please stop being so humble! Mr. West is in critical condition now!" Sean said the truth in desperation.

Since he was a veteran, he had always hated beating around the bush. So, when the situation became tense, he stopped holding back and said everything.

Margaret stood there in a daze for a moment before finally processing what he had just said. She wondered if they had come all the way to her house to have her look at Benedict because they thought she had cured Josh. Then, she wondered how they had even learned about Josh's situation.

But most importantly, she really didn't know how to treat anyone.

"Sean, Mr. West can't hold on anymore. Where did Demi insert her needles previously? I'll give it a try now," Seamus said anxiously.

"I don't know! How could I possibly know that? Also, I was so anxious back then that I didn't take a clear look at all." Sean was so nervous that he was about to cry.

Actually, Seamus was asking Margaret that question, and he hoped that she could give him some pointers.

However, Margaret was more anxious than them. "What should we do? What should… Oh! You should call Demi now and get her to tell you what you need to know! Since you're a doctor, you should know what she's saying!"

Felix observed Margaret's expressions while swiftly taking out his phone. At that moment, he still couldn't see any flaw in Margaret's story. It was as if she really didn't know anything.

Back in the control room for "I Love Nature", Matt was smoking while monitoring the footage for the program. He was also pondering, trying to figure out how Demi had traveled 10 miles in the ocean in just 10 minutes.

Suddenly, his phone started ringing. It was a call from an unknown number. Matt answered the call in confusion, saying, "Hello?"

"This is the military calling…" The person on the other side of the call sounded cold and serious. He also sounded extremely anxious.

"What?" Matt was so stunned that his cigarette fell from his hand.
