Suppressing her emotions, she walked up to Zivon. “Zivon, are you okay?”
Lady Burton almost fainted out of anger when she saw how badly everyone was injured. “Xavia Lockhart! You’re an adult but you still managed to get lost? I think that prophecy must be right—you’re really an unlucky woman born at an inauspicious time! Why does Keith have to date a person like you?!”
Helen was even more furious when she learnt that her son was in a coma and had been sent to the hospital. “Xavia Lockhart, I will not let you off if anything happens to my son! Why are you still standing around? Hasn’t Keith been sent to the hospital? Come with me now! You should be taking care of Keith to atone for your sins!”
Everyone was filled with disgust and loathing for Xavia.
Xavia knew it was her fault, so she did not argue with them. She turned around and prepared to walk out.
“I need to go to the hospital for a checkup. We can go together.” A man’s clear voice rang out suddenly.
Everyone looked over and saw that it was Zivon, so they did not dare to say anything.
Ava nodded and said, “Your injuries are quite serious so a checkup would be good. Jenna, you should accompany Zivon and take care of him; don’t let this unlucky woman ruin our good mood by bringing harm to Zivon and Keith.”
“Grandma.” Zivon’s voice was deep and low as he prepared to defend Xavia.
Xavia was afraid that it would only make them hate her more, so she quickly blurted out, “Grandma, you’re right. This incident is all my fault, and I’m very sorry.”
She then turned to Zivon, a pleading look in her eyes. “We should go to the hospital right away.”
Zivon understood what she was trying to do and closed his mouth, not saying anything. He turned and walked out, a cold expression on his face.
Jenna and Xavia quickly followed him.
Nathan had already borrowed a car and brought it around. Xavia walked to the front, about to sit in the passenger seat.
“Xavia, come here.” Zivon’s cold command sounded.
Surprised, Xavia awkwardly looked over. There was no way this would look good, right? Shouldn’t he be sitting with Jenna? Why was he calling her over instead?
Jenna was also surprised. Was he disregarding her feelings so blatantly now?
Zivon frowned as they stared at him. “You know how to apply medication. To be safe, it’s better if you treat the wound on the way there.”
So… that was the reason.
Xavia could only do as he said—it would not end well if she turned him down. Swallowing, she walked over to him meekly.
Meanwhile, Jenna was furious but did not dare to say anything. She walked to the front of the car and sat in the passenger seat, irritated.
