Moving back to the past, Rea could be seen sitting meekly on the couch as she watched Frank get home from work…
As promised, he had allowed her to stay at the Frankston Villa, but boy was it clear that he didn’t like her presence. In fact, before she could even think of anything to say to lighten the mood, she heard him growl, “Stay quietly in your room if you want to stay. I won’t repeat myself.”
Before Rea could reply, his secretary quickly ran up to Rea and said, “Here, some snacks and essentials… If you ever need anything else, don’t hesitate to ask.”
It was evident that Frank and his secretary wanted to deal with her as little as possible, and that made Rea squint. It took her a while, but she eventually replied, “…I’m good for now. As for what else I need… Nothing for now.”
“…Then… Shall I lead you to your room-”
“I prefer being around those I know, thank you very much. Could you lead me there instead, Frank?” interrupted Rea as she walked up to Frank, instantly causing him to glower at her.
Alas, as much as he wanted to decline, he figured that saying no would only make things more annoying. With that, he reluctantly grabbed the keys from his secretary before heading upstairs without another word…
Though Rea quickly caught up to him in hopes of starting a conversation, she wasn’t able to think of anything to say when he opened her room’s door and said, “If you have minor issues, Google. Major issues, Maison. Only come to me if it’s absolutely necessary.”
With that said, he turned to leave, causing the helpless Rea to clench her fists. No matter what she did, he never seemed to let his walls down at all. Then again, it wasn’t like she could completely blame him for his aloof personality. After all, after experiencing such horrors as a child… Regardless, it was no secret that he was an icy man. Arguably, his iciness was on par with his father’s, at least back in the day…
