“Even so, your name is still engraved in my heart…” replied Chace.
Had Nathan been there to witness their interaction, he would’ve surely told Zivon to learn from Chace’s brazen pickup lines…
Moving back to Xavia, she soon began making her return trip after getting some needles and thread from the supermarket.
However, shortly after re-entering the construction site, she ended up coming across the prestigious man again… Somehow, even the messy site wasn’t able to impair his good looks.
Regardless, she simply clenched her fists before quickly walking past him. Just when she had made it a few steps away from him, however, she heard his calm, yet serious voice call out, “We need to talk, Xavia.”
In response, Xavia simply replied, “We have nothing to talk about.”
Following that, she hurriedly ran away from him. Watching as she quickly headed off, Zivon couldn’t help but purse his lips. It was at that moment when Nathan ran up to Zivon.
Revealing a pin in his hand, Nathan then smiled as he whispered, “Young Master Burton…! I just poked your car tires, so you can head back in Young Master Keith’s car later in the afternoon…!”
Upon hearing that, Zivon momentarily glared at Nathan before saying, “So even a birdbrain like you can do something smart at times.”
This left Nathan speechless. Was that… a praise? Scorn? Why was he being called a birdbrain…?! How saddening…!
Either way, it wasn’t long after Xavia stepped into Keith’s office when Zivon entered as well. At the time, Keith—who was still bare-chested—was going through some documents. When he saw Zivon’s long face, however, Keith couldn’t help but frown as he wondered why that man was looking so gloomy this time.
In the end, he was prompted to ask, “What’s wrong, Uncle Zivon? Why aren’t you heading home?”
