Meanwhile, Bianca had just finished cooking a bowl of noodles in one of the rented penthouses within Darlsbury. Glaring at the man who was sleeping on her couch, she then grumbled, “It’s already nine, you know? Why haven’t you left for work? Are you giving up on the Saltman Group? Head to your office already!”

Despite her evident displeasure, Chace wasn’t angry. Instead, he simply looked at her with his charming eyes before saying, “I simply wish to enjoy your scent for a bit longer. It lingers all over this place…”

His statement made Biance momentarily speechless. When she finally found her voice, however, she was prompted to reply, “…Have you no self-respect? Did you not call me dirty and cheap before? You even said that my very breath tainted your soul, Master Saltman.”

This left Chance slightly dumbfounded as he asked, “I… said such things? I don’t remember saying any of that at all! Don’t go framing me, now!”

Astonished to hear that, Bianca—who was initially angry—eventually sneered before scoffing, “…Of course you wouldn’t remember. Why would you ever remember all the things you’ve done to hurt me? Either way, f*ck off already!”

Stomping toward the couch, Bianca was about to drag him out… when all of a sudden, he grabbed her back! Pulling her toward him, Bianca let out a yelp before falling right onto his broad chest! Before she could even react, he gently kissed her on the lips before saying in a teasing tone, “My baby smells so good… Compared to you, I’m the dirty and cheap one…”

Looking at Bianca—who had gone speechless again—, Chace then held onto her waist as he added, “Look, I’m sorry for all that happened… How many more times do I have to apologize before you’ll forgive me, hmm?”

Unless they heard this coming from his mouth, nobody would’ve ever imagined that this hoarse-voiced and ruthless-looking man would ever apologize this tenderly to a woman.

Even so, Bianca wasn’t having any of that. Feeling sore deep down, she then retorted, “Do you really think that apologies are enough? Shattered cups can’t be put back together, you know-”

“Bia, I can turn a broken cup as good as new. And I’ll prove it to you tonight,” interrupted Chace, sounding extremely serious as he stared at her with his handsome face.

Bianca couldn’t help but go speechless once more. Due to how miserable she had previously been, she had assumed that she no longer had any feelings for Chace. However, now that he was being this brazen, she simply couldn’t stop herself from going soft-hearted and indulging herself in his arms…

After a brief silence, Chace’s solemn voice then added, “Either way, let’s forget about us now. I need your help with a favor…”

Snapping out of it when she heard that, Bianca then pushed him away before sitting up as she asked, “Why would you even ask a favor from someone you utterly look down on?”
