Regardless of whether her hand was injured or not, sewing Keith’s shirt was her right to decide!
With that in mind, Xavia was prompted to say in a sweet, yet firm tone, “While I appreciate that you’re trying to look out for me, I really wish to sew my boyfriend’s shirt myself. Even so, it’ll probably take a while for me to be done. With that said, do you have any other clothes in your car? If you do, then consider lending them to Keith first, Uncle Zivon.”
‘…So you’re still insistent on sewing his shirt, even with your injured hand? Even if it’ll take longer than usual?’ Zivon thought to himself before sneering.
Chuckling in a slightly dangerous tone, Zivon then stared straight into Xavia’s eyes before replying, “Even if you don’t mind lending him my clothes, I do.”
There was a saying that women were like clothes to men… and he was clearly implying that she was the clothes! This, of course, caused Xavia’s cheeks to go red as she thought, ‘Is he sick or something?! How could he say that in front of Keith?! What if Keith manages to read between the lines?!’
Unfortunately for Xavia, Keith easily understood what Zivon meant.
Truth be told, Zivon’s attitude toward Xavia—from last night till this very moment—had been a surprise to Keith. In a way, Zivon’s reactions had been completely beyond his expectations. That aside, the more Zivon behaved this way, the more Keith wanted Xavia to fall for him.
With that in mind, Keith couldn’t help but reply, “…No, Uncle Zivon’s right. It was inconsiderate of me to ask for your help when your hand still hurts. With that said, keep the shirt for now and patch it up once your hand is fully healed.”
Watching as Keith put on his suit again, Xavia couldn’t help but blame herself for this outcome. In the end, her favors toward Keith kept piling up. Honestly, though her hand hurt a little, by sewing for him, she could at least express her gratitude to him! Unfortunately for her, the nosy Zivon just had to mess things up!
Though she was furious with Zivon for interfering, she simply shook the anger off before facing Keith as she said, “…Alright. I promise to sew it back up once my hand is better. Speaking of which, is there a kitchen here? I’ll make you some lunch.”
‘Keith just had breakfast yet you’re offering to make him lunch already? What an attentive woman!’ Zivon thought to himself as he tightened his grip on the document folder that he was holding.
