That ‘something else’ being the wound on Zivon’s arm. The man himself had a white shirt on that was covered in dust and slightly drenched in water. His sleeves were also pulled up, revealing his strong arms… as well as his bandaged wound that was clearly still bleeding…
So he really was hurt. Actually, so what if he was? What did that have to do with her? Hell, why was his wound the first thing on her mind?!
‘Grow up! He was cold to you as well as your brother-in-law!’ Xavia thought to herself as she looked away from the news…
It was later that night when—much to Xavia’s surprise—Maison suddenly awoke in tears. Before she could ask what was wrong, the teary-eyed boy said, “I… I dreamt that Daddy got buried alive after falling into a pit…! I want Daddy! I need to find him…!”
No matter how intelligent Maison usually was, he truly looked like a fragile child at the moment. Either way, Xavia quickly hugged the distressed boy before comforting, “Now, now, it was just a bad dream… Dreams are usually the opposite of reality, so your daddy is definitely fine…”
“No, you don’t understand, Aunt…! I… I really want to see Daddy… Please take me to him…” whimpered Maison in between sobs.
This, of course, left Xavia helpless. After all, it was already this late. She couldn’t just bring the boy to Zivon, right…? After a brief pause, Xavia was prompted to say, “…Let’s just make a video call and see how things are going on his end first, alright…?”
Following that, Xavia made the call… only to quickly be answered by the answering machine that said, “Sorry. The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later.”
Upon hearing that, Maison broke down as he wailed, “I knew it! Me and Daddy’s hearts are linked, Aunt…! Could Daddy have met with a mishap?! Is… Is Daddy dead…?!”
“Maison, I’m sure the line there is just bad… Please don’t be like this… I’ll take you over to see him, alright…?” replied Xavia as she hugged the distressed boy before lifting him off the bed…
By this point, Dolly—who was on the other bed—found herself waking up as well. After being updated on the situation, she was prompted to say, “Take him there. Don’t worry, I’ll look after Yulia while you’re gone.”
“I appreciate it,” replied Xavia as she slipped her slippers on before quickly carrying Maison over to the garage…
