It took him a while, but Ian eventually muttered, “…Why are you here?”

“…Don’t you feel that something is… off about this timing? That Jenna would get into an accident right after Whitney got imprisoned?”

“…Are you suggesting that Whitney was the one who orchestrated this?”

“I am. That aside, how’s the situation looking?” asked Zivon as he stopped an onsite staff member from running past him.

Even though Zivon had a mask on, his prestigious aura still prompted the man to politely reply, “T-the rescue team has been down there for about ten minutes, and though I don’t have many details about the current situation, we did find out the cause of the accident. Apparently, the bus had experienced a brake malfunction which ultimately led to it falling off the cliff. Judging from how steep the cliff is, we’re expecting few survivors. Another thing we’re worried about is a possible explosion…”

Naturally, Ian and Zivon’s gazes instantly darkened when they heard that. Hopefully things wouldn’t progress that terribly… Fast forward to about half an hour later, they finally received more news!

“Team Alpha calling in! We’re now standing before the bus, and oil is leaking out of the fuel tank! From the looks of things, the bus may explode within five minutes! The passengers are all unconscious!”

Upon hearing that, the commander clenched her walkie-talkie before commanding, “Check for survivors! Stat! Once you’re done, evacuate immediately!”

“Roger that!”
