Rather than landing, the helicopter simply hovered a few inches above the ground… and shortly after, the door was slid open.
“All five of our men have returned safely, and so have the two survivors, ma’am! The child is a boy around eight years old, and the woman seems to be around twenty-five. Their injuries are dire, so should we fly them to the hospital immediately?”
Ignoring the man, Ian simply peered into the helicopter… and though both of the unconscious people were covered in blood, Ian could see that Jenna was one of the survivors…! Though this was a good thing, it didn’t help much with his guilt. After all, many others were still dead because of him…
In the end, he simply ordered, “…Fly them both to the nearest hospital! Stat!”
“Roger that!”
With that, the hospital soon flew away… and after staring at Ian for a while, Zivon turned to look at the commander before saying, “List down the names of the deceased as well as their family histories. I’m expecting your report as soon as possible.”
Following that, he walked up to Ian before comforting, “…Hey, we don’t truly know if all this was planned yet, so lighten up. There are still plenty of things that need to be done.”
Knowing that Zivon was right, Ian took a deep breath… and after mourning for the dead for a while, he finally walked off…
Watching as Zivon followed Ian, the commander and her teammates couldn’t help but mutter, “…Who are they again…?”
“No idea, though they’ve been ordering us around for a while…”
They remained clueless until they realized that the two were now sitting in their cars… both of which were rather familiar!
