Year Five The Perfect Goodbye Plan novel Chapter 205

Silvia lowered her gaze, a thoughtful shadow flickering across her pale, delicate face.

Her company had just opened its doors. Moving out so soon really wasn’t an option.

Shipley stood nearby. As for getting rid of him? That was even less likely.

She’d just have to take things as they came.

Still, her coworker had a point—if Shipley kept showing up like this...

Most days, it was merely annoying. But if a client happened to be there when Shipley barged in, it would leave a terrible impression. It could even jeopardize a deal.

At that thought, Silvia exhaled a quiet sigh and pressed her fingertips gently between her brows.

She pressed her lips together, eyes reflecting a tangle of emotions. “Don’t worry. Just focus on your own work. I’ll handle him.”

Her team nodded, but their concern for Silvia only deepened.

At this point, Shipley seemed, in their eyes, little more than a madman.

Silvia’s gaze drifted to the iris lying on the floor. A wry, self-mocking smile touched her eyes.

She left the office, but didn’t head straight home. Instead, she made her way to Yvette’s place.

It had been a while since the two friends had caught up. Yvette welcomed her in with open arms, leading her straight to the sofa.

She eyed Silvia with curiosity. “Aren’t you swamped with work these days? What brings you here?”

With her best friend, Silvia couldn’t keep up her usual composure. She leaned over, resting against Yvette’s shoulder. “Yvette, you won’t believe it—Shipley showed up at my office today.”
