After Sheila gave the address, she hung up and let Carlos take care of it. Selina stared at her, eyes sparkling with admiration. “The Watson family? Wait, you mean the one owing the famous Watson Corporation?”
Sheila just smiled. “Yeah, the Watsons actually also own this place.”
Selina practically gushed. “Sheila, you even know people from the Watson family? That’s amazing! If it were Nelly, she’d probably just call Brody for help. But you, you always handle things yourself. That’s what sets you apart.”
Selina’s praise was honest, and Sheila couldn’t help but enjoy it. Neither of them expected what happened next. When they tried to go back into the store half an hour later, they got stopped again.
A few security guards walked over and said the store was closed for a private event.
Selina raised her chin. “Didn’t your boss call you? You might want to be careful, or you’ll end up fired,” she said, full of attitude.
The guards looked at each other, unsure what to do. The same saleswoman from earlier walked over, her face already showing she was annoyed to see them again.
“Is there something else?” she asked.
Before Sheila could respond, Selina jumped in. “You should have been fired by now. Go get someone else to help us.”
The saleswoman just smirked and quietly told the guards, “Get them out.”
Sheila didn’t want to make a scene, but the saleswoman’s attitude was really getting under her skin. “The Watson family owns this store, and my friend should have already talked to your manager.”
The guards hesitated. Sheila tried to walk in, but the saleswoman blocked her.
“Really? Well, I haven’t heard anything about that,” she said, then signaled the guards again.
This time, they didn’t hold back. Two guards grabbed Sheila and Selina by the arms and pushed them out of the store.
Selina started yelling at them, which got the attention of the mall’s security. Worried things would escalate, the mall guards escorted them right out of the building.
Sheila’s cheeks burned with embarrassment, and she let out a cold laugh.
Just then, her phone rang. It was Carlos.
