The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1329

“Two announcements?”

The whole room fell silent, everyone holding their breath.

Allanson’s voice carried through the hall, deep and commanding. “First, we’re dealing with the traitors inside the Hawk Family.”

A shiver ran through the crowd. The word “traitors” sent the patriarchs on edge, tension thick in the air.

Right at that moment, Aloys and his daughter were led into the hall. They looked exhausted, their faces pale from hours locked away in a dark, windowless room, left to stew in dread over what would happen next. Time must have crawled by for them.

One by one, the leaders of the foreign factions who had joined the rebellion were marched in too. They kept their heads down, regret written all over their faces. Not one of them had expected Aloys’s plan to blow up in their faces. They backed the wrong man and now they knew it.

“Father!” Marcia’s voice trembled as she knelt.

“Grandfather!” echoed her.

Both Aloys and Marcia dropped to their knees, backs stiff as boards.

Marcia’s eyes flicked to the stage and landed on Charlotte. Her face went white with shock. “Charlotte?” she blurted, unable to hide her surprise.

Could it be? Was her grandfather really about to hand the Hawk Family to Charlotte?

“Replace every single leader of the foreign factions,” Allanson said, his face stone-cold. He scanned the room, eyes narrowed. “Take care of them.”

Everyone understood exactly what that meant. The Hawk Family never showed mercy to traitors.

“Allanson, we know we made a mistake!” The foreign leaders didn’t even try to hide their fear. They begged for forgiveness.

Allanson didn’t bother to answer. He just waved his hand. “Take them away.”

The guards obeyed, dragging the men out of the hall.

Charlotte watched it all, her eyes cold and unreadable. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a lollipop that Anthony had slipped to her earlier. She unwrapped it, popped it in her mouth, and rested one hand on her belly, reminding herself to stay calm for the baby. She thought, Don’t worry, little one. They’re the bad guys.

Allanson’s gaze turned back to Aloys and Marcia. His voice dropped, heavy with a quiet fury. “I’ve done plenty of bad things in my life. Maybe that’s why fate punished me with two rebellious sons.”

Franco, standing off to the side, frowned but didn’t say a word.
