Jason appeared behind her. “Lilly, keep your voice down. The walls here are thin. If anyone hears us, they’ll think we’re up to something.”
Lilly’s cheeks were already burning. She thought he’d finished changing, and he had, sort of, but he still hadn’t put his shirt back on.
Actually, he was only wearing his black suit pants. His upper body was bare, and she’d caught a glimpse of his sun-kissed skin, broad chest, strong shoulders, and narrow waist. His abs were perfectly defined, and the V-line at his hips disappeared into his trousers, making her imagination run wild. Just looking at him made her dizzy.
The sight was almost too much, especially since she hadn’t been in a relationship for three years. Her mind felt like it was buzzing.
He was so close behind her now, his voice deep and smooth, sending a tingle straight to her ears. She felt like she might actually melt just from listening to him.
“I... Alright,” she managed.
“Did you need something?” he asked.
Lilly turned to face him, but kept her eyes on the floor. “Mr. Farill, your phone.”
Jason took the phone from her and answered, “Hello?”
She heard a woman’s voice on the other end, probably his assistant, talking about an urgent document that needed his signature at the office.
Jason moved the phone from his left hand to his right. “Got it. Just send the file to my phone. I’ll take care of it soon.”
Lilly’s breath caught when she saw him switch hands. Jace used to do the exact same thing on calls, a habit she’d noticed a hundred times.
Why does Jason act just like Jace?
Looks could be changed, but habits like that were part of who you were. They were almost impossible to hide.
Lilly froze, her mind racing. She kept seeing pieces of Jace in Jason, and suddenly, a crazy idea popped into her head.
