The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 831

“How can I be sure?”

Lilly’s eyes drifted down from the hard lines of his abs, lower and lower. “Could you… take off your pants?”

Jason looked at her, and suddenly his eyes turned darker.

Lilly barely knew what she was saying anymore. Her heart hammered in her chest. She couldn’t tell if she was excited that Jason might actually be Jace, or if it was just the crazy request she’d blurted out making her nervous.

“Mr. Farill, I mean… the man I knew, he had a mole down there. I just want to see.”

Jason swallowed, his throat moving. “What if I say no? I don’t want to.”

No. She needed to know.

Lilly stared at him, pleading. “Mr. Farill, please. I need to see.”

Jason turned to leave.

Lilly darted in front of him, blocking his way. “If you won’t do it, I’ll do it for you.”

Her hands landed on his expensive black leather belt. She gripped it tight. “Sorry, Mr. Farill.”

She started fumbling with the buckle.

She’d never done this before. Three years ago, Jace never wore belts. The cold, smooth leather under her shaking fingers made her realize, even if he was Jace, he wasn’t the same anymore.

He was a rising star in the business world now.

Was he hiding who he was because he didn’t love her anymore?

Lilly’s anxiety grew. She was so nervous, so inexperienced, her hands just couldn’t get the buckle open.

Jason watched her struggle. “Was that man your lover?”

Her eyelashes trembled.
