The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 811

Lilly felt completely hopeless. Was Lucas really going to get her tonight?

Suddenly, a taxi flew down the street and screeched to a stop right beside Lilly and Victoria.

The driver’s window slid down. A low, calm voice said, “Get in.”

Lilly’s eyes lit up. She yanked open the back door. “Victoria, hurry, get in!” Victoria scrambled into the back seat. Lilly dove into the front passenger seat and shouted, “Please, drive! Go, go!”

The taxi peeled away just as Lucas and his men ran over, yelling after them. But the car was already speeding down the street.

Lucas stopped, hands on his hips, furious. “Who the hell is that idiot cab driver? Ruined everything! Get me my keys, now!”

A bodyguard in black tossed him the keys. Lucas jumped into his Ferrari and slammed on the gas. There was no way he was letting Lilly get away tonight.

Inside the taxi, Lilly turned to the driver. “Thank you so much.”

She froze as she got a good look at him. She knew this man. It was the same man she’d run into before, the one with the scars.

He was focused on the road, dressed head-to-toe in black, a dark baseball cap pulled low over his eyes, a black mask covering most of his face. Only his eyes were visible—icy and sharp, impossible to forget.

Those eyes looked so much like Jace’s.

Lilly stared in shock. She never thought she’d see this man again. Was he really a taxi driver?
