The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 653

David smiled. She really could handle herself. She didn’t need to lean on anyone. She was her own power, her own legacy.

He reached out his hand. “Isabella, nice to meet you.”

Ella shook his hand, confident and calm. “Mr. Harmon, nice to meet you too.”

Under the dazzling lights, Jessa watched them shake hands. The anger inside her was sharp, bitter enough to make her jaw ache. Ella was the center of attention now. David and everyone else were focused on her, treating Jessa like she was invisible.

Why did Ella always make her feel like a side character whenever she showed up?

It had been three years. Jessa was the daughter of the richest man in town now, but none of that changed a thing.

Ella, I hate you!

As the Emerald Banquet wrapped up, David walked over to Ella. “Ella, where are you staying? Do you want a ride home?”

He really wanted a chance to talk to her alone.

Ella shook her head politely. “Mr. Harmon, I have a driver. You don’t need to trouble yourself.”

She glanced at Jessa. “Besides, your fiancée is here. You should probably stay with her.”

David frowned. He started to speak, wanting to explain things with Jessa.

Before he could say a word, a soft ringtone interrupted. Ella checked her phone. Wyatt was calling.

“Excuse me, Mr. Harmon, I have to take this.”

She walked away, phone in hand.

David saw Wyatt’s name flash on her screen. He watched her leave, wondering if she’d really been with Wyatt all these years.

Ella found a quiet spot and answered. “Hey, Wyatt.”

“Hey, Ella, where are you right now?”

“I’m at the Emerald Banquet.”
